The following process will be used to determine the winners in each category across every delineated zone.
1) Nominations will be invited from the public nationwide;
2) The nominations will be received and any clarifications and/or adjustments to the format used by, or on behalf of nominees will be sought by the organizers and presented by the nominees or their agents;
3) Nominations will be examined to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria;
4) The contents of nominations that meet the eligibility criteria will then be authenticated by our contracted team of researchers to confirm claims made in the nominations;
5) Where information contained in a nomination is found to be deliberately falsified, the nominee would be automatically disqualified.
6) A specially constituted team of Award Assessment Consultants will then assess each nomination against the assessment criteria established by the organizers to ensure they fulfill the criteria to some degree or the other A short list of nominations that fulfill both the eligibility and the assessment criteria will then be forwarded to a specially constituted Awards Jury for consideration.
The same shortlist will also be forwarded to the organizers for placement on the public voting ballot.
7) Public voting will then take place on all nominees on the ballot and the results forwarded to the contracted audit firm for verification and then forwarded to the organizers.
8) An expert Awards Jury will at the same time meet physically and virtually over several sessions to consider each shortlisted nominee. Where a member is unable to join meetings either for technical reasons or for reason of unavailability due to acceptable cause, that member will forward his or her inputs into the considerations to the meetings of the Jury.
9) The Awards Jury will then score each nominee according to its zone of entry and the scores will be forwarded to the organizers
10) The contracted audit firm will receive both the public voting results and the expert jury assessment scores from the organizers and do the final computations based on the 65;35 weighting established by the organizers for the purpose of deciding the winners of awards under this scheme.
11) Finally the Awards Jury thus determine the actual winners and the first and second runners up and forward the results to the organizers.
12) The organizers will secure the acceptance or otherwise of the winners based on the sole term/condition for conferment of an award. In the event that a winner fails to meet this condition it will automatically fall to the first runner up
The nationwide and international recognition that would accrue to hitherto largely regional enterprises and institutions would provide them the opportunity to expand and thus benefit from the huge economies of scale and synergies available to enterprises
The award scheme is being financed by corporate/institutional sponsors who wish to associate with and encourage exemplary business and socio-economic performance and conduct and who also want to contribute to closer ties between exemplary businesses in the creation of highly impactful supply and value chains.
Enterprises and institutions will only be eligible to be dominated and considered for awards in the zones where their respective head offices are domiciled ie branch office presence does not qualify an enterprise or institution for consideration for an award.
