The Nigerian Hemisphere awards being organized by The Business Executive Media Group aim at identifying and publicly recognizing private enterprises and state institutions in Africa’s biggest and most vibrant economy in a more inclusive way than ever before done by an international awards conferment company.
Public voting and expert assessments of eligible nominees would be done on a regional basis, for which Nigeria has been divided into Six geographical areas: SOUTH SOUTH, SOUTH EAST, SOUTH WEST, NORTH EAST, NORTH WEST
NORTH CENTRAL. Furthermore, two other geographical segmentations will be used to the peculiar positioning of the two key urban centres in the country with regards to business activity and its regulation, promotion and facilitation of institutions of state: these being Abuja and Lagos. In each geographically delineated area awards will be conferred on identified private enterprises and institutions of state.
Awardees will be identified by a combination of public voting and expert assessment by regional Juries. Voting will be the primary mode with a weighting of 65% with expert assessment accounting for the other 35%.
Awardees will be conferred with plaques and citations at a five star gala awards conferment ceremony to be held in Abuja. However we are confident that the biggest benefit accruing to awardees will be the public recognition and acclamation they will receive on a nationwide level, which would provide a lever through which they can expand the geographical scope of their operations while strengthening their regional activities through the enhanced goodwill and respect which their awards would give them.
The nationwide and international recognition that would accrue to hitherto largely regional enterprises and institutions would provide them the opportunity to expand and thus benefit from the huge economies of scale and synergies available to enterprises
The award scheme is being financed by corporate/institutional sponsors who wish to associate with and encourage exemplary business and socio-economic performance and conduct and who also want to contribute to closer ties between exemplary businesses in the creation of highly impactful supply and value chains.
Enterprises and institutions will only be eligible to be dominated and considered for awards in the zones where their respective head offices are domiciled ie branch office presence does not qualify an enterprise or institution for consideration for an award.
