Awards will be conferred in the following categories in each of the five regions/zones and in each of the two delineated cities.

15) Best in the use of technology
16) Best in financial services
17) Best in agriculture
18) Best in ICT
19) Best in light industry
20) Best in heavy industry
21) Best in business support services
22) Best in transportation
23) Best in building in construction
24) Best in science and technology
25) Most environmentally friendly
26) Best in solid mineral mining

• Where the organizers decide that a certain zone has no credible entries for a particular category - eg where a category is dependent on the availability of natural resources which are not available in a particular zone – no nominations will be considered for conferment of an award. This is at the sole discretion of the organizers in every such situation.
• Where no nomination meets the minimum requisite standard – ie no nomination meets all five assessment criteria to any degree at all, no nomination will be put on the ballot box as subjected to consideration by the Jury of Experts.
The nationwide and international recognition that would accrue to hitherto largely regional enterprises and institutions would provide them the opportunity to expand and thus benefit from the huge economies of scale and synergies available to enterprises
The award scheme is being financed by corporate/institutional sponsors who wish to associate with and encourage exemplary business and socio-economic performance and conduct and who also want to contribute to closer ties between exemplary businesses in the creation of highly impactful supply and value chains.
Enterprises and institutions will only be eligible to be dominated and considered for awards in the zones where their respective head offices are domiciled ie branch office presence does not qualify an enterprise or institution for consideration for an award.
